Hello! I'm Vanessa (or Nes). I live in the UK with my family.
This is my new website where I hope to share, not only my educational printables, but tips, tutorials, freebies and homeschooling advice.
A bit more about me:
I have always loved to doodle, draw, paint for as long as I can remember.
I always wanted children, but disliked the idea that they would be sent off to school for 6 hours a day, even though my husband and I both went to school.
I don't believe in labels, especially for children. We're all unique!
I eat a plant-based diet. I have two vegetarian children and two meat eaters.
I am a minimalist and well known in my family for throwing/donating items. Everyone jokes that if we can't find something in the house that I have probably thrown it out.
I have dreams of travelling and living in a van. (One day!)
I dislike "normal" - what is normal anyway???
I struggle with meeting new people, but I am a chatterbox once I do!
I love to be constantly busy. When I am still, I dwell on negative things and can struggle with depression.
My family are my life! (This should be number one on my list, haha!)
I lived in Spain in 2007 and I can speak a little Spanish {my sister is fluent}.
I am nearly 40 but act much younger!
My husband is a gardener but he also draws, and he is better than me!
I think learning to take care of yourself is just as important as academic education. We have a strong focus on our children being able to cook, sew, repair cars, do DIY, etc...
I believe everyone has the right to raise their children how they see fit. What works for one family, doesn't work for another.

I have homeschooled my boys for 12 years. Despite this length of time I still find myself learning new ways and ideas to make the learning process enjoyable. I want to share as much of this journey as I can with you.
